Privacy Policy: Search My Site, Tab Hot Keys and Bye Bye, Google AI Extensions

Last Updated: May 18, 2024

This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures regarding data collection from users of any of the Search My Site, Tab Hot Keys or Bye Bye, Google AI extensions.

The Search My Site extension allows you to have a quick shortcut from the Chrome omnibox so that by entering "s " into the box, you can then search the site of your site. For example, if you worked for the site tomshardware.com, you could have it just search that site by entering "site:tomshardware" as the suffix on your Omnibox search. We do not collect your data. The tool stores your preferences (which site you want to search) in your personal Chrome storage, which we cannot access.

The Tab Hot Keys extension allows you to assign up to four hot keys that take you directly to the tabs of your favorite site / web tool. For example, you can assign CTRL + SHIFT + X to take you to your most recently opened Google Docs tab. If you hit the hot key more than once, you get taken to the previously opened Gdocs tab and the one before it, etc. If you have no tabs open for that site, a new tab will be opened to it.

The Bye Bye, AI extension filters out information you don't want from your Google results page. It stores your preferences for what you want filtered out (AI overviews, discussions section, etc) as you have set them in the Options menu.

No Use, Collection of Personal Data

The only data the extensions store are your preferences. The preferences are local to your Chrome account and not accessible to us at all. We do not collect or use any of your personal data whatsoever. The tools do not transmit your data back to us in any way.

Storage Permissions

In order to keep your preferences, the extensions use Chrome's storage API to attach them to your browser account. That data is not shared with us.
